Sea Eagles prop Taniela Paseka has undergone surgery to repair a ruptured Achilles tendon.

The 27-year-old suffered the injury midway through the first half of Sunday night’s Round 3 victory over the Raiders.

Taniela is aiming to be available to play in Round 25 this season following a 16–20-week recovery period.

The Sea Eagles play Parramatta Eels in Round 4 of the NRL Telstra Premiership at 4 Pines Park this Sunday (4:05pm).
