Manly Sea Eagles have made a few off-field changes ahead of Sunday’s match against the Raiders, to improve the game day experience at 4 Pines Park.
With all three grades in action, including the NRL clash against Canberra, another big crowd is expected at the Brookvale fortress following a sell-out in Round 1 two weeks ago.
While a ‘full house’ against the Cowboys created an electric atmosphere for the season-opener, the extra demand also placed additional strain on food and beverage outlets, in some instances causing lengthy delays.

Sea Eagles CEO Tony Mestrov says the club has made a concerted effort to improve the game day experience, after this week announcing a new membership record.
“We got a lot of constructive feedback from our Members after the Cowboys game and we’ve taken steps to improve a few areas,” Mestrov said.
“We all know that a big crowd at an old venue is always going to provide challenges. Our members and fans know that as well.

“What we must try and do, where we can, is to constantly look at ways to improve the match day experience, win lose or draw.
“One of the big issues from the Cowboys game was lengthy queues at certain bars and food outlets. This was partly caused by technical problems at point of sale, as well as the venue catering company having to train new staff.
We are assured things will run a lot more smoothly on Sunday, with extra food and beverage staff on hand

“To alleviate pressure on other bars, we have also reintroduced mobile drink staff with esky backpacks in the Jane Try for those wanting a beer or bottle of water.”
To further alleviate queues, the club is encouraging patrons sitting on the Hill to make greater use of the Garden Bar, located behind the Hill, during peak periods.

To celebrate Members Round on Sunday, there will be a number of Members Only activations, including:
- VIP Sideline Experience
- Matchball Delivery
- Hospitality Upgrades
- Half time goal kicking challenge
- Members prize grab (Outside Ken Arthurson Entry)
