Sea Eagles to miss Magic Round in 2025

Manly Warringah Sea Eagles have been allocated the bye in the 2025 NRL Magic Round in Brisbane.

It will be the first time Manly hasn't participated in the NRL Magic Round since its conception in 2019.

The introduction of the Dolphins as the NRL's 17th club in 2023 has led to one club now having the bye in Magic Round, as was the case for Newcastle (2023) and St George-Illawarra (2024).

The Sea Eagles previously struck a commercial deal in 2015 with Suncorp Stadium to take their home games against Brisbane from Brookvale to the Broncos' home ground. The deal then became an automatic Friday night fixture as part of Magic Round and expired after this year's match.

The NRL will release the full 2025 draw tomorrow (Thursday).
