Sea Eagles re-sign Raymond Tuaimalo Vaega

Powerful winger Raymond Tuaimalo Vaega has signed a new one-year deal with the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles for 2025.

The 24-year has played 12 games for Manly after making his NRL debut for the Sea Eagles against Canberra in 2022.

An aggressive outside back and strong defender, Tuaimalo Vaega will be out to build more consistency into his game to give himself the best opportunity to push for a starting position.

“Ray has worked very hard on improving his game and has earnt this new one-year deal,’’ said Sea Eagles Coach Anthony Seibold.

“He is a very good team first man who provides plenty of added depth to our outside backs.”

Meanwhile, former Manly forward Michael Chee Kam returns home to the Sea Eagles in 2025.

Chee Kam made his NRL debut for the Sea Eagles in 2014, playing five games over two seasons for the club. He later joined Wests Tigers in 2016 and South Sydney in 2022. He played 16 NRL games for the Rabbitohs last season.

“Michael brings great experience to our supplementary list. He has played in excess of 130 games now in the NRL,’’ Seibold added.

“He has been at Manly previously and he lives in the area. He can play multiple positions, so we feel like having Michael in our squad adds to our depth.”

The Sea Eagles have also signed former Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs forward Chris Patolo on a train-and-trial contract.

"Chris has played 27 games in the NRL. He will bring good competition for spots in our forward pack and is a player who is still developing at this level,'' Seibold added.
