Manly Warringah Sea Eagles wish to thank the following NRL players who have departed the club following the end of our 2024 season.
The Sea Eagles thank each of the players for all their efforts and contributions and wish them well for the future.
Brad Parker #586
Brad Parker can head into retirement very proud of his fine career with the Sea Eagles.
A Manly Christian Brothers junior who rose through the Sea Eagles Pathways, Parker played 117 games over nine seasons at Manly to finish his career as a one-club man, a feat not many players now get to achieve.
Parker made his NRL debut for Manly against the Warriors in Perth in 2016.
A hard-working centre, Parker became a respected and popular clubman for his professionalism, dependability and determination to succeed.
He may not have been the flashiest of centres but he built his game around toughness, consistency, solid defence, and the ability to push through pain and injury.
It was this tremendous spirit and courage that saw the much-loved Parker earn the respect of his team-mates, who also very much enjoyed his dry sense of humour.
The 27-year-old became a fan favourite too, not only for his trademark red hair, but for always giving 100 per cent every time he pulled on the Sea Eagles jersey.
Parker scored 29 tries in his career for Manly.
Karl Lawton #628
Karl Lawton certainly made a strong impact in his 59 games over four seasons at the Sea Eagles.
Signed as a hooker in 2021 after stints with the Gold Coast Titans and the Warriors, the hard working Lawton developed into a quality second-rower for Manly with his tough carries and solid defence.
Lawton brought up his 100th NRL game in Manly's win over Canberra this season.
Aaron Woods #643
It might have taken him a while to get to Brookvale, but Aaron Woods relished every moment of playing for his childhood club, the Sea Eagles, after arriving at Manly in 2023.
Woods enjoyed a wonderful career in the NRL, playing 270 games across five clubs in a 14-year stint that also saw him represent NSW (14 games) and Australia (17 Tests).
Having debut for the Wests Tigers in 2011 as a 20-year-old, 'Woodsy' grew up supporting Manly as a kid living in the heart of Tigers territory in Leichhardt.
Woods fell in love with Manly during the era of Daniel Gartner, Nik Kosef, Steve Menzies, and Cliff Lyons, and even later got an an 'Eagle' tattoo on a foot.
The veteran prop was brought to Manly to add experience and depth to the middle forwards with his wealth of experience proving invaluable for the younger players.
His larger than life presence saw Woods help drive the culture and standards at Manly in between his 17 games for the Sea Eagles over two seasons.
Ben Condon #645
Ben Condon played five NRL games over two seasons for Manly.
The towering prop/second rower scored a try in his club debut for Manly against Canberra in 2023, finishing the season with four games to his name.
He made just one appearance for Manly this season in the round 16 match against South Sydney after spending this year with the NSW Cup team.
Matthew Lodge #648
Experienced prop Matthew Lodge made a strong impression for Manly after arriving mid-season in 2023.
A powerful runner of the ball and strong defender, Lodge quickly asserted his authority in the Sea Eagles pack before suffering a season ending ACL injury in round 23.
Having returned against the Titans in round seven, Lodge suffered a biceps injury against Brisbane in round 11.
Lodge played in Manly's final four matches to bring his tally to 12 games with the Sea Eagles.
Jaxson Paulo #650
Jaxson Paulo played eight games for the Sea Eagles after joining the club this season.
The 25-year-old winger made his club debut in the historic opening round win over South Sydney in Las Vegas. He went on to score two tries for Manly.
Jamie Humphreys #659
Jamie Humphreys played one NRL game for the Sea Eagles after coming through Manly's SG Ball and Jersey Flegg teams as a half.
Humphreys scored the opening try at half-back in a memorable NRL debut in the win over Newcastle Knights at 4 Pines Park in 2024.
The 22-year-old was tried at hooker midway through last season where he ended up sharing the role with Gordon Chan Kum Tong in the NSW Cup.
