Three Manly players named in PM'S XIII team

Three Manly Warringah Sea Eagles players have today been named in the Australian Prime Minister’s XIII squad to take on the PNG PM’s XIII team.

Luke Brooks, Ethan Bullemor and Reuben Garrick have been rewarded for their fine seasons with selection in the match to be played at Santos National Football Stadium in Port Moresby, on Sunday, October 13

The Australian Prime Minister’s XIII team will be coached by Brad Fittler and captained by Damien Cook.

It will be the first PM XIII jersey for Brooks and Bullemor, and a second for Garrick.

However, it will be Garrick's first time playing in PNG after he represented the PM XIII against the Fiji PM XIII in 2019.

Garrick scored a try coming off the bench in the 52-10 win in a match that saw him play alongside Manly team-mates Brad Parker and Jake Trbojevic.

Jake Trbojevic is the most capped PM XIII player with six appearances.

Sea Eagles Coach Anthony Seibold said all three players deserved their selections on the back of their fine performances this season.

"It is a great reward for 'Brooksy'. He had a great season and got to play in two finals matches for the first time and now he gets the recognition for it by being named in the PM's XIII,'' Seibold said.

"I'm really stoked for Luke. He deserves all the recognition he gets.

"The second half of the season for 'Bully' in particular was very good. He made a great impact off the bench. The selectors can see that and this is now the next step for Ethan's development. He is starting to get recognised with this representation.

"We played Reuben as a centre this year rather than on the wing. We feel like he made some really good strides forward there.

"We know he will continue to improve the more he trains and plays in that position.

"It is great recognition for Reuben. He has played at this level before but I feel he wants to take that next step and be in conversations for representative teams.

"This is a good opportunity for him to perform in a PM's XIII jersey."
