Crucial clash for Manly against Tigers in Jersey Flegg

Manly Warringah Sea Eagles must win two crucial away matches if they are to qualify for the Jersey Flegg Cup finals.

The Sea Eagles head into this Saturday’s away game against the eighth-placed Wests Tigers at Lidcombe Oval in fifth spot on 30 points, one point ahead of Cronulla (sixth) and two points clear of Parramatta (seventh) and the Tigers.

Following the match against the Tigers, the Sea Eagles finish the regular season against the second-placed Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.

The top five teams contest the finals, meaning there is little room for error.

Manly head to Lidcombe on the back of a convincing 36-10 win over the Warriors at 4 Pines Park last Saturday.

The Sea Eagles ran in six tries to two in a match that saw them lead 18-0 at half-time to record their 13th win of the season.

"I was really happy with the team's performance in the way we controlled the match, especially with our kicking game,'' Manly Coach Scott Kenna said.

"The vibe at training this week has been great and really positive.

"The playing group are excited for the challenge of taking on the Tigers at Lidcombe Oval."
