Sea Eagles women chase back-to-back wins

Manly Warringah Sea Eagles will be looking to further build on their impressive last start win in the Harvey Norman Women's NSW Premiership when they travel to Sydney's west on Saturday.

The Sea Eagles take on Mounties after recording a 28-4 win over South Sydney Rabbitohs at 4 Pines Park last Sunday in a match that saw centre Lavinia Tauhalaliku cross for five tries to take her tally to eight in six games.

The 28 points is the most points Manly has scored in a game in their debut season in the open age women's competition.

"Lavinia is a big, strong athletic player. She is working hard on understanding the consistency of effort needed at this level to compete,'' Coach Keith Hanley said.

The Sea Eagles sit fifth on the ladder with Mounties in sixth. Both teams are on seven points through three wins, two losses, and a draw.

Following the Mounties match, the Sea Eagles have just four more games before hopefully contesting the finals in their debut season in the open age women's competition, which is a step below the NRLW.

Hanley said the Mounties game presents a good challenge for his team.

"Our focus this week has been on our defence, to make sure our process is understood and can be executed,'' he added.

"In attack, we also need to be clean in yardage as we want to compete in everything we do."
