What's your favorite rugby league memory growing up?

Being able to finally play alongside a family member

Who are your favourite rugby league players in NRL or NRLW?

Millie Elliot. She’s a workhorse!

What does it mean to you to be part of the first Manly Harvey Norman’s Women’s team?

It is such an honour. To be able to learn from great coaches and be apart of the team with the girls is unmatched.

Funniest team-mate?

Shontelle Stowers when she’s had too much coffee or energy drinks. She has the best dance moves.

What are your goals this season?

To become better than last year and learn as much as I can from the coaches.

Tell us about your family and any special achievements?

I am the first of six kids that all play rugby league. Coming from a predominately Cook Island household, being a positive role model for my siblings and little cousins can be a challenge, but being able to share footy with them is probably the most special thing. This, and watching my siblings excel in the sport we love.

Who is your hero?

One of my heroes would have to be my Nana. Watching her strength and persistence through such an awful disease (cancer) is inspiring. Being able to be happy despite not feeling the best teaches me to always appreciate things and to live in the moment.

What's your favorite movie and why?

I wouldn’t say I have a favourite movie as I like a fair few. The Taken series, the Fast and Furious series, Mulan, and Moana

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I enjoy watching my siblings, cousins, and partner's siblings play their sports

Are you a morning person or a night owl?

I feel like I’m a morning person because staying up all night makes me tired thinking about it

Coach Keith Hanley says:

"Mahina is a fundamentally sound player with a good work ethic who is continuing to grow and develop."
