Home game to help lift Sea Eagles women's team

The opportunity to play another home game at 4 Pines Park on Sunday will help the talented Manly Harvey Norman Women's NSW team in their quest to return to the winners circle.

The Sea Eagles sit in sixth position with two wins, two losses and a draw heading into the round six clash against the eighth placed South Sydney Rabbitohs.

Manly should take plenty of confidence into the match after pushing undefeated competition leaders Wentworthville Magpies all the way in their 18-10 loss last Saturday at Ringrose Park.

The Sea Eagles led 10-6 at half-time through tries to prop Tanika-Jazz Noble and winger Pier Pritchard. The second half was a tight contest with the Magpies only snatching victory late in the game.

Although beaten, the Sea Eagles gave the Magpies a strong scare on their home turf in a spirited performance to again showcase the skill and toughness in this team in what can only be seen as positive signs going forward for the women's game at Manly.

The Sea Eagles will be hoping for some more strong home crowd support in their return to Brookvale after recording a 24-20 victory over the Newcastle Knights in round three.

Lavinia Tauhalaliku and Pier Pritchard lead the tryscoring tally for the Sea Eagles with three tries each.

The Sea Eagles have scored 16 tries in five games in their first season in the open age women's competition which is one step below the NRLW.
