Sea Eagles face big test in Harvey Norman

The exciting Manly Warringah Sea Eagles Harvey Norman Women's team face a good early test to see where they are at when they travel to Wentworthville on Saturday, August 3.

The Sea Eagles have won two of their four games to sit third ahead of an anticipated clash with the undefeated competition leaders Wentworthville Magpies at Ringrose Park.

Manly will be out to make it three wins in a row following victories over St George Dragons and Newcastle Knights. They also recorded a draw with Central Coast Roosters and a round one loss to the Eels in a promising start to their debut season in the open age women's competition.

"We are slowly getting more cohesion and understanding as a group. We are still growing,'' said Coach Keith Hanley.

"Wentworthville will be a real good test. They are a competent team who are playing with a lot of confidence."

The Sea Eagles will take some good form into the game following a 24-6 win over the Dragons at Kogarah last Saturday.

Winger Lavinia Tauhalaliku scored two tries in the win in a pleasing performance for Hanley.

"We are starting to understand the game we wish to play and importantly each other,'' Hanley added.

"I want to give credit to Kyla Gordon and Lili Boyle for their work rate, and Lavinia for her powerful running game."
