What's your favorite rugby league memory growing up?
Winning grand finals back to back. My first ever time playing with all girls and also first time under my Dad as a coach.
Who are your favourite rugby league players in NRL or NRLW?
My cousins Spencer Leniu and Christian Pio
What does it mean to you to be part of the first Manly Harvey Norman’s Women’s team?
It's crazy knowing how each time we gather as a team, we are making history. It's my first ever Harvey Norman team and it's good fun taking things to a different level and experiencing a lot of firsts, such as being the first women's team to play for Manly in this competition.
Funniest team-mate?
Nicole Backhouse
What are your goals this season?
To go well as in an individual and become an asset to the girls
Tell us about your family and any special achievements?
My family is small but overachievers. Some are in the NRL and NRLW, others work hard as dispatchers in emergency services, and a few own businesses. In the end, they're all there for one another no matter how caught up we all get in life. We are proud Samoans. My siblings and I also share Chinese blood through my great grandfather. And just like our first ever Manly Harvey Norman Women's team, there is a lot of bright personalities that can't be explained here. It's more an experience you need to have for yourself.
Who is your hero?
My dad. My biggest critic. He taught me all I know and love about the game.
What's your favorite movie and why?
Princess and the Frog. I've always been a Disney kid and a kid at heart. No real reason why i love it, I just do.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Sleeping
Are you a morning person or a night owl?
Morning
Coach Keith Hanley says:
"Taytana comes to us from Cambridge Park JRLFC out at Penrith. She has some good footy nous about her and counts numbers really, really well. She has good footwork, speed and is safe under the high ball."
