Manly make it two straight wins in Harvey Norman Women's

A double to winger Lavinia Tauhalaliku today has helped the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles to record their second win in the Harvey Norman NSW Women's Premiership.

After breaking through for their historic first win in their debut season in the open age women's competition last Sunday, the Sea Eagles backed it up with a 24-6 win over the St George Dragons at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium, Kogarah.

Manly have now won won two of their four matches along with a loss and a draw.

The Sea Eagles opened the scoring in the 13th minute with a converted try to Becca Riley for a 6-0 lead after the hooker burrowed her way over from dummy half.

Ten minutes later, centre Aleksandra Tunufai crossed for the Sea Eagles for a handy 10-0 lead after a nice shift to the right saw her cross over out wide.

Tauhalaliku then crossed for the first of her two tries to stretch Manly's lead to 14-0 after 29 minutes with a nice try from another shift to the right.

The Dragons then pulled one back with a converted try to second-rower Jaimee-Lee Cotter to leave the home side trailing 14-6 at the break.

Manly jumped to a 20-6 lead after 45 minutes with a second converted try to Tauhalaliku after she dived over from the blindside.

The Sea Eagles secured victory when prop Tanika-Jazz Noble crashed over off a short pass from five-eighth Kayla Eli in the 63rd minute for the 24-6 scoreline.

The Colormaker Industries Player of the Match award went to Tauhalaliku

Manly now play Wentworthville Magpies at Ringrose Park, Wentworthville, on Saturday, August 3, at 4pm.
