Lehi Hopoate

An eye socket injury to exciting young Manly player Lehi Hopoate was the only major concern for the Sea Eagles following today's 38-8 win over the Gold Coast Titans.

Hopoate has been in brilliant form at wing and full-back for the Sea Eagles after making his NRL debut against the Melbourne Storm in round 12.

Unfortunately, the 19-year-old Manly junior played just 36 minutes after suffering the injury early in the first half at 4 Pines Park.

"I think it's an orbital fracture. Around the eye socket. I am told it will be four or five weeks,'' revealed Manly Coach Anthony Seibold.

"It's really disappointing for Lehi, because it is his sixth or seventh game in the NRL. He's really improved over that period of time.

"We will be without him, which is disappointing. We will miss him, because he has been really good over the past month and a half."

Seibold said he will look at his options for next week's clash against the Sydney Roosters with Clayton Faulalo, who made his NRL debut last week in the win over the Knights, an option for the wing spot.

"Clayton is obviously there. I thought Benny Trbojevic was outstanding in the second half playing left centre. They're two really good options for us, they will be the two options,'' Seibold added.
