Fresh injection of talent for NSW Cup team

An injection of some fresh, exciting young blood from the Manly Jersey Flegg team will run out for the Blacktown Workers in The Knock-On Effect NSW Cup on Saturday.

A heavy injury toll and the loss of three Origin players has seen nine players from last week's winning Blacktown Workers team named in the NRL squad for the clash with the Rabbitohs.

Those players include second-rower Ben Condon who crossed for his first career hat-trick in the 26-14 win over St George-Illawarra Dragons at Blacktown last week.

Full-back Clayton Faulalo, who has been named on the extended NRL list, also scored as did powerful winger Watson Heleta.

Blacktown Workers will get some players back after the finalisation of the NRL team.

It has led to talented Jersey Flegg Cup youngsters Kylan Mafoa, Devante Mihinui, Oliver Lawry, Broden Konz, Max Hayley, Daniel O’Donnell, and Nicholas Lenaz promoted from last week's winning team into the NSW Cup side.

Blacktown Workers sit eighth on 16 points with South Sydney 11th on 13 points.

The match kicks off at 5.10pm at Accor Stadium, Homebush, as the curtain raiser to the NRL.
