The sheer sight of a bullocking Nathan Brown charging off the back fence at Brookvale will continue following a new two-year-deal with the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles.
Brown arrived at Manly in the pre-season on a train and trial contract but has reignited his career following stints at four other clubs.
The 31-year-old, who has played 157 NRL games, is now contracted to Manly to the end of the 2026 season.
The experienced forward has been a revelation for the Sea Eagles in his nine appearances, making 12 tackle breaks for an average of 103 metres per game.
Manly Coach Anthony Seibold said Brown worked really hard in the pre-season to earn a one-year deal for 2024.
“We are very happy now to extend Nathan for another two years which is a great reward for his performances off the bench this season,’’ Seibold said.
“The biggest thing I can say about Nathan is that in a really short time here, he has become a bit of a cult hero at Manly because people like the way he plays.
“Nathan plays with plenty of intent and he cares about the team he plays in.
“We love having him here. I find Nathan really easy to coach. You give him a job and he goes after it. I really enjoy coaching him.”
