Sea Eagles reward Jason Saab with contract extension

The ability to take his game to the elite level as well as the continual growth off the field has seen Jason Saab rewarded with a new contract extension by the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles.

Already signed until the end of 2026, the Sea Eagles have now further extended Saab’s contract from 2027-2029, such is the belief the club has in the dynamic winger.

One of the fastest players in the NRL, Saab has scored 53 tries in 75 first grade games, with 68 of those matches played at Manly.

Sea Eagles Coach Anthony Seibold is confident 23-year-old Saab will achieve even further success.

“The improvement Jason has shown over the last 18 months is significant. I believe he can now become an elite winger and a representative class winger,’’ Seibold said.

“It’s within reach. He has always had the potential.

“We’ve seen ‘Saaby’ score some great tries since he has come into first grade but I think the consistency in his game has grown.

“That’s his biggest area of improvement, he has become a really consistent NRL player and I know he can become an elite winger.

“I feel Jason has only scratched the surface. He has got a real growth mindset to get better.

“Jason is such a coachable young man. We want him to continue to grow and excel at the NRL level for Manly.

“He loves this club. We love having him here. He is someone we wanted to keep long term, knowing how much potential he has got.”

Seibold said Saab also has many quality traits away from football.

“What I love about Jason is that he such is a good person off the field. He is dead set just a gentleman,’’ Seibold added.

“He takes time to get to know people and enjoys learning about them. He is always willing to help. He is very passionate about Manly.

“I can’t speak highly enough about him.”

Manly CEO Tony Mestrov said Saab deserved his new contract extension.

“Jason is a very professional young man in the way he goes about things in his life,’’ Mestrov said.

“We have all seen what he can do on the field and look forward to seeing Jason achieve even greater results at Manly.

“Off the field, Jason is a terrific young man with a very level sense of maturity for his age.

“He is extremely popular with our supporters and always gives his time freely to do whatever he can for our club."
