Manly Warringah Sea Eagles are excited to announce a Pathways Partnership with one of the largest Rugby League Clubs in New Zealand.
The Sea Eagles have joined forces with the Mangere East Hawks, situated in the south of Auckland.
The partnership will provide coaches and female players from the Mangere East Hawks with development opportunities and pathways to progress to the Sea Eagles.
Experienced Sea Eagles Women’s Head Coach Keith Hanley and Female Recruitment Manager Nik Wolfgramm travelled to Auckland over the weekend for the partnership announcement.
Hanley and Wolfgramm watched the girls U12s, U14s, U16s and U18s teams play on Saturday before taking part in a Q&A session where they expressed their admiration of the talent at the Mangere Club.
The pair then ran a ‘coach the coaches’ session on Sunday before returning home.
Sea Eagles CEO Tony Mestrov welcomed Mangere East Hawks to the Club.
“This exciting new partnership is just another positive step forward for our Female Pathways program,’’ Mestrov said.
“We are really pleased with the progression of our female program at Manly and this will only further enhance it as there is plenty of fine young talent coming through at the Mangere East Hawks Club.”
