Sea Eagles Pathways Weekend Wrap Up

It was a mixed bag of results for the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles in the NSWRL junior representative games on Saturday.

The Sea Eagles recorded one win, three losses, and a draw.

Tarsha Gale Cup

Manly proved too strong for the Wests Tigers in their 66-6 win at 4 Pines Park in the final round of the U19s women's competition.

The Sea Eagles ran in 13 tries after leading 34-0 at half-time with wingers Danielle Dunlop and Teuwira Rameka-Keremete, centre Taleenza Nelson, and half-back Danii Nicole Gray scoring two tries each in a dominant display of sheer power and speed.

Colormaker Industries Player of the Match: Danii Nicole-Gray

The Sea Eagles finished the season in fourth spot with five wins, two draws, and one loss from eight games.

Manly now play the fifth-placed Newcastle Knights in week one of the finals on Saturday, April 13 (time and venue to be advised).

Lisa Fiaola Cup

Manly suffered a 42-0 loss to the Wests Tigers in their final U17s match of the season.

The Tigers ran in nine tries after leading 18-0 at half-time.

Colormaker Industries Player of the Match: Lani Moore

The Sea Eagles finished the season in 10th spot with two wins and six losses, fourth points clear of the wooden spoon,

Harold Matthews Cup

Manly have missed out on qualifying for the finals by one point following a 16-all draw with the Central Coast Roosters at 4 Pines Park.

Tries early tries to second-rower Beau McKee and hooker Cruz Death saw the Sea Eagles lead 10-0 at half-time.

Manly then jumped to a handy 16-6 lead following a converted try to winger Logan Tolar. Unfortunately, the Roosters hit back with two quick tries, their second with five minutes to go, to snatch the draw.

It was Manly's only draw for the season and it proved costly, with the Sea Eagles finishing seventh, one point behind the sixth placed Warriors.

Manly finished their season with four wins, three losses, and a draw from their eight matches.

SG Ball Cup

Manly finished a tough season in the SG Ball with a 44-0 loss to Penrith at 4 Pines Park.

Leading 20-0 at half-time, the Panthers ran in eight tries.

Colormaker Industries Player of the Match: Nepote Taufa

The Sea Eagles recorded two wins and seven losses to finish 14th, four points clear of the wooden spoon.

Jersey Flegg Cup

A poor first half proved costly for Manly in their 30-28 loss to St George-Illawarra Dragons at Michael Cronin Oval, Gerringong.

The Dragons dominated the first half to lead 22-8 at half-time despite Manly scoring the opening try through winger Charlie Thompson.

The Sea Eagles fought back well to level up at 22-all after 46 minutes before the Dragons took a 26-22 lead six minutes later.

Manly then regained the lead through a converted try to prop Devante Mihinui in the 62nd minute before the 12-man Dragons team snatched victory with a try three minutes from full-time with only goal-kicking proving the difference.

Thompson, Una Uasi, Dylan Christensen, Broden Konz, Oliver Lawry and Mihinui scored tries for Manly.

The Sea Eagles sit in eighth spot with two wins from four matches.
