Hard running centre Alton Naiyep scored a try for Manly in the loss to the Dragons

Manly Warringah Sea Eagles will be chasing a much needed win when they tackle the South Sydney Rabbitohs in round three of the SG Ball Cup.

The Sea Eagles have experienced a tough start to the U19s competition and will be keen to bounce back against the Rabbitohs at at Redfern Oval on Saturday, February 17. The match kicks off at 1pm.

Both teams will be looking to record their first win of the season.

A disappointing second half performance saw the Sea Eagles suffer a 42-10 loss to St George Dragons last week after turning in a spirited effort in losing 42-18 to Wests at home in the opening round in a match that saw the Magpies only pull away late.

Manly Coach Nathan Hogan said the team, remains upbeat despite the early season setbacks.

"We lost a half, centre and winger against the Dragons. We lost a whole edge,'' Hogan said.

"It certainly made things tough for the boys and the Rabbitohs match will be a good test for us.

"We have been focusing on our defence and effort areas. so that's the challenge for the boys this week."
