There’s nothing quite like Sunday afternoon footy at the 'Fortress'.

And in 2024, the Sea Eagles will play a massive five Sunday games at our beloved 4 Pines Park.

It’s been long overdue with the Sea Eagles having played just three home games on a Sunday afternoon at Brookvale over the past two years.

In 2022, a crowd of 13,261 saw Manly beat the Bulldogs 13-12 on the back of a late Daly Cherry-Evans field goal in their only Sunday home game of the season.

The match marked the official opening of the new Bob Fulton Stand at the northern end of 4 Pines Park as part of the Centre of Excellence.

In 2023, the Sea Eagles played just two Sunday home games at 4 Pines Park.

The first saw Manly go down to Cronulla in front of 10,358 fans before a sold-out crowd of 17,385 saw the Sea Eagles snatch a thrilling 18-16 win over the Sydney Roosters.

Sea Eagles CEO Tony Mestrov said the Club was very happy to host five Sunday afternoon games in 2024 following the release of the NRL draw.

“Our Members have been crying out for more Sunday games at home and we are thrilled that we can host five very big games at 4 Pines Park next season,'' Mestrov said.

“Game Day is the best day of the week, but there is always a special feeling about Sunday afternoon footy. Everyone feels it, from the players to the supporters. It’s just a real buzz and the kick off times are very family friendly.

“The sight of a packed 4 Pines Park is a daunting prospect for any visiting team. We saw that first hand this year when our players lifted off the back of a huge passionate home crowd to beat the Roosters.

“With five big home games set down for next year, there is every possibility that these quality matches will again attract big crowds as Sea Eagles members and supporters flock to enjoy the much-loved tradition of Sunday afternoon footy.

“I encourage Manly supporters who are not 2024 Members to either renew now or sign up as a proud Member for next year. It's the only way you can guarantee entry.”

The first Sunday afternoon game at 4 Pines Park comes in round two on March 17 with the Sea Eagles taking on the Sydney Roosters in round two after both teams play their opening games of the season in Las Vegas as part of the historic Double Header.

It will be followed by home games against the Dragons (their first at Brookvale since 2019), Knights, Titans and Sharks.
