The important message around building mental fitness will again be at the forefront of the second annual Gotcha4Life Cup.
To be played on Thursday, August 3 at the Sydney Cricket Ground, the Gotcha4Life Cup will see the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles and the Sydney Roosters not only tackle each other on the field, but support one another to help raise funds and awareness of building mental fitness.
Last year’s inaugural Gotcha4Life Cup between the two clubs was won by the Roosters at 4 Pines Park.
Established by media personality Gus Worland in 2017, Gotcha4Life is a not-for-profit foundation with a goal of zero suicides, taking action by delivering mental fitness programs that engage, educate and empower schools, sporting clubs, workplaces and community groups.
The Sea Eagles will again be supported by Premier Partner Shaw and Partners Financial Services, who will donate $100,000, along with a Roosters major partner, to the Gotcha4Life Foundation, making a grand total of $200,000 towards delivering community mental fitness programs. Shaw and Partners will also give up their sternum branding this game, donating the branding opportunity to Gotcha4Life.
“We are delighted to be supporting this great initiative alongside Shaw and Partners and the Gotcha4Life team,” said Sea Eagles CEO Tony Mestrov.
“I would also like to thank the Roosters for their commitment to join us again in promoting awareness of mental fitness through the exposure of the Gotcha4Life Cup."
Earl Evans, Co-CEO of Shaw and Partners, said his company was more than happy to support the Gotcha4Life Foundation.

"We’re proud to be once again partnering with the Sea Eagles and Gotcha4Life Foundation on this important initiative, and to do what we can to help educate and empower Australians on taking positive action towards their own mental fitness" said Evans.
“The incredible work Gus and the Gotcha4Life team do across the community through their great programs is very important, so we are more than happy to make this significant donation to them."
To help raise further funds for Gotcha4Life, the Sea Eagles will auction off player issued jerseys from the game on August 3.
