Jersey Flegg Best and Fairest Award winner Caleb Navale had a fine season for the Sea Eagles

Manly Warringah Sea Eagles will be looking to get their Jersey Flegg Cup finals campaign back on track on Sunday after having a a four game winning streak end last weekend.

The Sea Eagles went down 24-16 to the fifth placed Melbourne Storm at 4 Pines Park last Saturday after trailing 18-4 at half-time.

Manly now take on the fourth-placed Sharks (26 points) at Pointsbet Stadium this Sunday with the Sea Eagles in ninth place (20), four points behind the fifth placed Melbourne Storm. The top five teams contest the finals.

Manly Coach Leon Latulipe has the Sea Eagles playing a really exciting brand of rugby league that saw them win four straight before going into the Storm match off the back of two rare back-to-back byes.

Latulipe said last week complacency would not be an issue for the Sea Eagles.

“I’m big on reminding the boys of where they came from,’’ Latulipe said.

“We were dead last a few weeks back and now have an opportunity to control what's ahead of us if we remain grounded and keep doing what works for us.

"If we do everything right in our own backyard, the result and ladder will sort itself out.”
