Manly Warringah Sea Eagles will be out to make it back-to-back wins for the first time this season in round 15 of the Jersey Flegg Cup on Friday night.
The Sea Eagles tackle the Wests Tigers at 4 Pines Park for the second time this season with their confidence up following a thrilling 34-32 win over Canberra Raiders last Saturday at home.
Exciting young full-back Lehi Hopoate scored two tries with half-back turned hooker Jamie Humphreys proving the difference with some superb goal-kicking after Manly and Canberra scored six tries each.
After crossing for the team’s opening try in the first minute from a nice shift play, Hopoate produced some individual brilliance for his second try.
Hopoate defused a kick before splitting the defence to beat a final defender in a 75 metre run to score in the corner to give Manly a 12-0 lead.
The Tigers head into the game on the back of a 12-8 loss to Cronulla at Pointsbet Stadium last Saturday.
The two sides met in round eight at Campbelltown Sports Stadium in April with Wests Tigers taking a 38-22 win.
The Sea Eagles will need to keep a close eye on former Manly centre Josh Feledy in his first game back at Brookvale. A prolific tryscorer, Feledy has crossed for eight tries this season including two doubles.
The Tigers sit in 10th place on 12 points, two points ahead of the bottom placed Sea Eagles in 12th position.
