Blacktown Workers out to keep momentum rolling

With three wins from their past five matches, the Blacktown Workers Sea Eagles will be looking to keep their fine momentum rolling at home this Sunday in the NSW Cup.

The Sea Eagles will head into the clash against the Western Suburbs Magpies with plenty of added confidence after turning in their finest performance of the season in a 36-30 win over the North Sydney Bears last Saturday.

Centre Morgan Harper and winger Jackson Ferris combined beautifully together to score two tries each in a well-deserved win under Blacktown Workers Coach Greg Boulous that keeps the Sea Eagles in touch with the finals race.

The loss saw the Bears slip from the top of the ladder with Blacktown Workers moving into seventh place.

For Boulous, Sunday's clash against the Magpies will be about focusing on this game alone, and not what they did last week, given the tightness of the competition.

The Magpies are just one point behind the Sea Eagles in ninth position with Wests coming into the game on the back of a 26-18 win over Canberra last weekend.

Blacktown Workers will also be looking to further build on their good home record at HE Laybutt Field on Sunday, having won two of their games played there this season.

It's been Blacktown's finest season to date under Boulous after some very lean years.

The Blacktown Workers side will be finalised following Friday night's NRL match.

Kick-off at HE Laybutt Field, Blacktown, on Sunday is 3pm.
