Manly Warringah Sea Eagles have today launched a special commemorative ANZAC Round jersey that pays tribute to the men and women who have served in the Australian Defence Force.
Featuring silhouette of soldiers making their way across tough Gallipoli terrain, the Sea Eagles will wear the jersey in their ANZAC Round clash against the Wests Tigers at Campbelltown Sports Stadium on Sunday, April 23.
A sprig of Rosemary features in centre of the chest and the top of the back of the jersey. The jersey also has the words of ‘The Ode’ displayed across it.
RSL NSW President Ray James welcomed the invite from Manly to consult on the design of the Sea Eagles ANZAC jersey and commended the club for respectfully raising awareness of ANZAC Day commemorations.
“Commemorating significant moments in our military history is vital to Australia, as people, a community, and a nation,'' Mr James said.
"I commend the Sea Eagles team, and fans, for honouring the service and sacrifice of the men and women who have served in the Australian Defence Force, this ANZAC Day.”
The jersey is now available for purchase at Dynasty online shop.
