It was a tough afternoon for the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles against Penrith in round four of the NSWRL Junior Representative competitions at Brookvale Oval today.
The Sea Eagles were beaten in all three grades at home.
SG Ball Cup
Three tries in the final 10 minutes to Penrith has seen the Sea Eagles lose 30-20.
The Sea Eagles put in a fine first half effort to lead 20-6 at the break before being run down late by the Panthers.
Harold Matthews Cup
A back-and-forth battle for the lead culminated with a 24-18 defeat for the Sea Eagles.
Both sides showed their might but ultimately it was the away side that took the points despite both scoring three tries apiece in the second half.
Tarsha Gale Cup
The Sea Eagles turned in a brave effort in going down 34-16 to Penrith Panthers.
In a match played in very hot conditions, the Panthers side proved too strong in the end after running away with the match in the opening 14 minutes of the second half following a tense first half.
