Manly Warringah Sea Eagles centre Morgan Harper has today been picked in the Māori All Stars team.
It will be the second Māori All Stars representative jersey for Harper. The match against the Indigenous All Stars will be played at Rotorua International Stadium on Saturday, February 11.
Born and raised in Hamilton, New Zealand, Harper’s mum, Sonia, is from the Ngati Maniapoto tribe in the Waikato-Waitomo region in the North Island. It is part of the Tainui confederation.
His father, Paul, is from the Ngati Tuwharetoa tribe, a descendant from Ngatoro-i-rangi, the priest who navigated the Awara canoe to New Zealand.
The first ever NRL Harvey Norman All Stars in New Zealand will feature Premiership and representative stars alongside some of the best up-and-coming talent in the men’s and women’s games.
Tickets are available from NZD$40 for adults and NZD$85 for families via nrl.com/tickets.
