Sea Eagles extend Haumole Olakau’atu

Manly Warringah Sea Eagles have extended the contract of powerful second-rower Haumole Olakau'atu for another season.

Re-signed in March last year until the end of 2024, the Sea Eagles have now locked in the barnstorming forward to the end of 2025.

Haumole has taken his game to another level and is clearly one of the most destructive second-rowers in the NRL now

Manly CEO Tony Mestrov

“We are very pleased to have secured Haumole to the end of 2025. He is only 24-years-old and he will only improve even further in the years ahead.”

Olakau'atu has played 49 matches for the Sea Eagles since making his NRL debut for Manly against the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks in week one of the 2019 finals series.

A damaging edge runner with a lethal fend, Olakau'atu has crossed for 19 tries. Ten of those tries came in his 21 games this year with Olakau'atu recording 11 line breaks for an average of 103 metres per game.

His efforts saw him make his Test debut for Tonga against New Zealand in Auckland this year. Olakau'atu is currently playing for Tonga at the Rugby League World Cup in England.
