Best Sea Eagles away wins against the Titans

In the lead up to this Sunday’s away game against the Titans, we take a look at the best Manly wins on the Gold Coast over the last 10 years.

The two sides will clash again at Cbus Super Stadium, Robina, at 4pm on Sunday, August 14, in a must win Round 22 Telstra Premiership match for the Sea Eagles.

Rd 26, 2012: Manly 24-16

The Sea Eagles finished off the regular season with a 24-16 victory over the Titans to make it six straight wins heading into the finals.

Matt Ballin, Kieran Foran, Brett Stewart and Jorge Taufua crossed for tries in a game that saw the Sea Eagles lead 18-4 at half-time. Captain and Jamie Lyon was on song with the boot, kicking four from four.

Rd 23, 2014: Manly 15-12

Following a 23-4 loss to Souths the previous week that ended a four game winning run, the Sea Eagles bounced back to form with a narrow victory over the Titans.

Locked at 6-all at half-time, the Sea Eagles got home through tries to Kieran Foran and Brett Stewart. Centre and captain Jamie Lyon kicked three from three with half-back Daly Cherry-Evans landing a crucial field goal in the two tries apiece contest.

Rd 18, 2015: Manly 38-6

Wingers Jorge Taufua and Tom Trbojevic capped off a memorable Monday night footy with two tries each in this strong victory.

Kieran Foran, Willie Mason, and Brett Stewart also crossed for tries as the Sea Eagles made it back to back wins.

It was second double of the season for Trbojevic after scoring two tries in his NRL debut in round five against Canberra in Albury.

Rd 11, 2017: Manly 30-10

Centre Dylan Walker crossed for two tries in this 20 point victory on a Saturday night.

Api Koroisau, Jake Trbojevic and Akuila Uate also crossed for tries in a game that Manly were never headed after leading 18-6 at half-time.

The victory was the start of a five game winning run that season for Manly under former Coach Trent Barrett.

Rd 15, 2019 : Manly 30-12

Second-rower Curtis Sironen celebrated his 100th NRL game by scoring two tries in a match that Manly dominated throughout.

Reuben Garrick, Moses Suli and Jorge Taufua also crossed for four pointers in a match that Manly led 20-2 at half-time to make it three straight wins.

Rd 15, 2021: Manly 56-24

An unstoppable second half performance saw the Sea Eagles record a crushing victory after trailing 24-8 at half-time.

The Sea Eagles ran in an unbelievable nine tries to score 48 unanswered points in the second half in a huge performance under Coach Des Hasler.

Reuben Garrick scored four tries, brilliant full-back Tom Trbojevic crossed for three, and Jason Saab also scored a double in a game that marked the 250th match for Sea Eagles Captain Daly Cherry-Evans.
