Manly Warringah Sea Eagles will be looking to claim a vital two competition points in the NSWRL Jersey Flegg Cup at 4 Pines Park tonight.
With four rounds remaining, the Sea Eagles sit in eighth place on 20 competition points, trailing the Raiders (22 points), the Sharks (23 points) and Wests Tigers, the Dragons, and Penrith on 24 points. The top five teams contest the finals.
Manly head into the Eels game on the back of a bye last weekend with Parramatta in 10th place on 18 points. The Eels lost 28-12 to the Panthers last week.
It will be the second time the Sea Eagles and the Eels have met this season, with Manly claiming a gritty 25-18 win at Ringrose Park through three tries to winger Sanele Aukusitino.
The Eels haven’t beaten the Sea Eagles in the Jersey Flegg Cup since the 18th of August, 2019, thanks to two straight wins and the unfortunate cancellation of the 2020 season and the latter half of 2021.
