Blacktown Workers Sea Eagles will be hoping history repeats itself against the Newcastle Knights at 4 Pines Park this Saturday in round 18 of the NSW Cup.

Coach Nathan Hogan’s side recorded their first win of the season against the Knights in round five with a 24-14 victory in Newcastle following four three straight losses.

However, it’s been slim pickings since for Blacktown Workers with just one more win to their name, a 22-16 victory over North Sydney Bears at 4 Pines Park in round 13.

Blacktown Workers will be looking to end a four-game losing streak when they tackle the Knights in the first match of a triple header at 4 Pines Park.

The side sits on the bottom of the ladder and eight points behind the ninth placed Knights in the 12-team competition.

“We are looking to finish our season off strongly and this will be a great opportunity for us to put together a strong performance at 4 Pines Park,’’ Hogan said.

“With some players returning from COVID this week, we are looking to see if we can put together a complete performance against a quality side.”

Blacktown Workers go into the Knights match on the back of a 34-16 loss to St George-Illawarra Dragons at 4 Pines Park last Sunday after trailing 18-4 at half-time.
