Manly Warringah Sea Eagles will have no better chance to see where they stand in the NSW Jersey Flegg Cup than at 4 Pines Park this Sunday.
The Sea Eagles take on competition leaders the Sydney Roosters in a crucial round 13 match at home.
The Roosters have won nine of their 11 matches with the Sea Eagles sitting in 11th position with four wins.
The two teams met earlier in the season at Leichhardt Oval with the Roosters winning 40-24 in a fiery round two encounter.
Manly head into the game on the back of a shock 32-18 loss to a more committed Thunderbolts team a fortnight ago.
“It was a tough road trip to Melbourne. I was disappointed with the effort and attitude of the team as a whole,’’ said Manly Coach Adam McEwen.
“We didn’t build on the strong performance of the previous week (in the win over Parramatta).
“At the halfway mark of the competition, we are not where we want to be as a team.
“The positive is that our destination is still in our own hands. If we can be consistent in our effort areas and attitude, we have the talent to be a really good team."
