Sea Eagles 2022 Indigenous jerseys to feature player surnames

Player surnames will feature on the back of Manly Warringah Sea Eagles 2022 Indigenous jerseys launched today.

The Sea Eagles will wear the special jerseys for NRL Indigenous Round on Thursday 26 May against Melbourne Storm at AAMI Park.

This year’s jerseys highlight the Club’s ongoing partnership with Poche Indigenous Health Network, who will again adorn the major sponsor position across the main front.

The colourful design throughout the bottom front and back of the jerseys is inspired by the Poche Indigenous Health Network logo, depicting the river system that meanders across the Australian landscape.

Rivers and waterways are considered to be the livelihood of Indigenous culture, just like the blood that keeps us all alive.

The circles represent gathering or meeting places, which are scattered across the landscape, similar to Poche Health Centres across Australia.

The word ‘FAMILY’ appears on the inside of the collar with ‘RESPECT’ on the outside of the collar, aligning with key values of both Poche Indigenous Health Network and the Sea Eagles.

Poche Indigenous Health Network Founders Greg Poche AO and Kay Van Norton Poche AO, have given up branding on the lower back of the jerseys to instead feature the surname of each player.

The players are representing themselves and their families out there on the field. We are delighted to provide them with the opportunity to have their surnames featured across the back of their jerseys for NRL Indigenous Round this year

The Sea Eagles will wear white shorts and white socks with the Indigenous jerseys against the Storm.

Replica Sea Eagles 2022 Indigenous jerseys are available now in mens, ladies and junior sizes.
