Manly and Canterbury round out the restart of the Telstra Premiership with a Sunday night showdown.

The Sea Eagles started 2020 with a disappointing loss to Melbourne but bounced back to upset the Roosters in round two.

As has been the recent trend in the past couple of years, the Dogs kicked off their campaign slowly, going down to the Eels and Cowboys in back-to-back Thursday night slugfests.

Canterbury's defence has been strong but coach Dean Pay will need to get more out of their attack to post their first win of the season.

Team news

Sea Eagles: Corey Waddell and Taniela Paseka return in place of Morgan Boyle and Haumole Olakau'atu on the interchange. Boyle and Brendan Elliot were omitted from the extended squad 24 hours before kick-off. Manly have won three of their past four games against the Bulldogs. Jack Gosiewski and Tevita Funa were culled from the line-up an hour before kick-off, leaving Manly 1-17.

Bulldogs: Aiden Tolman was named on the reserves but after overcoming a minor hip injury, he will start at prop with Sauaso Sue reverting to the interchange. Sione Katoa and Brandon Wakeham were cut 24 hours before kick-off, Kerrod Hollad and Ofahiki Ogden were left out of the final squad on Sunday. The Bulldogs play their first game on the Central Coast since 2015.
