Matt Lyons could never be accused of not being a loyal Manly fan.
Born and raised in Townsville in the heart of Nth Qld Cowboys territory, Matt’s man cave features an amazing collection of Manly jerseys and merchandise.
Matt said his passion for the Sea Eagles began after watching the team lose the 1983 NSWRL grand final.
“I was 9 years old and it started from there,’’ Matt said.
“My collection consists of every Manly jersey the Sea Eagles have ever worn since their inception into the competition in 1947, except for three jerseys from 1954-1956.
"I'm holding out hope that I can get replicas of those three jerseys.
“The collection consists of some very rare jerseys which I have been very lucky to score.
“I just love Manly and have copped plenty of flak from family, friends and work colleagues but I don’t care.
“My favourite player is Daly Cherry-Evans. The way the team is playing this year, I am very happy after some lean years.
"The future looks bright for the Manly club.”
