Manly Warringah Sea Eagles are benefiting from a new partnership that has been established with Bauerfeind Australia.
Bauerfeind is providing Sea Eagles NRL players with a state-of-the-art 3D body measuring technology to identify any imbalances and to assist with the prevention and recovery of injuries.
The Bauerfeind Bodytronic system measures the legs up to the hips as well as knees and ankles of the players, who stand on a revolving measurement platform where a 3D model of each player is created by the system projecting beams of light onto the relevant body parts to capture them digitally.
The beams of light display a grid on the skin that is used to generate a highly accurate 3D cloud of dots guaranteeing complete accuracy of measurements and all in under a minute.
This cutting-edge technology is now available at the new and impressive Bauerfeind Sydney flagship store – Shop 2A, Ground Floor, 219-227 Elizabeth Street, Sydney.
Sea Eagles Head Coach Des Hasler saw this state-of-the-art 3D body measuring technology as a “must have” for his players and is very happy to have come together in partnership with Bauerfeind Australia.
“It’s important we continue to identify and integrate the best technology available to assist the performance of our athletes and this is exactly what Bauerfeind is providing for us,” Hasler said.
“We are privileged to have established a great partnership with Bauerfeind and we are already seeing results attributed directly to the access to this fantastic technology most notably in regard to the prevention and recovery of injury."
Bauerfeind Australia / New Zealand Managing Director, Walid Yassine, is equally pleased with the partnership.
"It's fantastic for us to be able to showcase our state-of-the-art technology whilst also being aligned with such a successful Australian professional sporting team in the Sea Eagles,” Yassine said.
“For Bauerfeind to now be contributing towards the Sea Eagles high-performance program and on-field performances with enhanced injury prevention and recovery is something we are very proud to be a part of and we are looking forward to a strong partnership together with the Club.”
