An eight tries to one performance saw the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles return to the winners' circle in the SG Ball competition on Saturday.
Winger Simon Tito (below) topped the try scoring list in grabbing a hat-trick in the 38-6 win after leading 24-6 at half-time.
Centres Ben Trbojevic and Jonah Palota-Kopa, second-rower Siua Fotu, winger Daniel Ala, and full-back Kaeo Weekes also crossed for four pointers. Ala kicked three goals from seven attempts.
Sea Eagles Coach Brett Fulton was impressed with the performances handed in by Weekes, prop Alec Tuitavake and Tyreece Matangi. All three have been part of the Sea Eagles junior development system over the past three years.
“Kaeo is really warming to the full-back role. He scored a really god try and had a cracking game,’’ Fulton said.
“Alec Tuitavake played very well up front and had a strong game and Tyreece provided some good impact off the bench. For a young player, he is showing a lot of maturity.”
A Manly junior, Tuitavake hails from the Beacon Hill Bears and has been part of the Sea Eagles development program for five years.
The Sea Eagles sit in third place and now face competition leaders the Central Coast Roosters at Lottoland on Saturday, March 30, from 1.30pm.
