Bear Cottage at Manly has thanked the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles for helping to spread some special extra cheer at Christmas.
In December, the Club established a 'Sea Eagles Toy Drive' inviting supporters to donate presents for Bear Cottage – an initiative of The Children's Hospital at Westmead.
Bear Cottage is the only children's hospice in NSW. It is considered a very special place that's dedicated to caring for children with life-limiting conditions.
Through the wonderful generosity of Sea Eagles supporters, the Club was able to deliver presents to Bear Cottage.
In a letter to the Club dated January 8, 2019, Community Relations Manager Bronwen Simmons thanked the Sea Eagles for their support and kind donations.
"As you can imagine, Christmas can be a difficult time of year for our families, so we do our very best to ensure that we make it as special as possible and a time for them to create lasting memories,'' Simmons wrote.
"With your help, we were able to make sure that each child and family received a number of gifts which bring a great deal of Christmas cheer. Thank you so much for your generosity."
The Sea Eagles thank those supporters who kindly donated presents to our Toy Drive.
