This week as part of Member Appreciation Round, we spoke to some proud Sea Eagles fans about when they first discovered their passion for Manly and how it came about.
Today, they are 'lifelong members' of the Sea Eagles.
Joseph McCormack (4) has a wardrobe full of Sea Eagles merchandise and spends his summer days in Townsville chatting everything Manly with the pool owner – one of the fellow supporters up in Cowboys territory. On game day, Joseph is found with his two sisters and dad around the TV where the family evidentially wear their hearts on their sleeves.
Alexander Christian Gibbons (7) attends 3-4 games each year with his father, Josh, who has been a supporting since he was the same age. Josh's passion for the Club made him sign up Alexander from birth which has blossomed a shared devotion to their team.
"Alex wears his Manly jersey and shorts everywhere... Even in the middle of winter when it is freezing."
Living in the ACT hasn't stopped the O'Donnell family from their love for the team. Marcus (17), Daley (12), and Evan (10), have grown up wearing their jersey and beanies, as well as donning their Manly shorts to their own training sessions.
Albeit tough to get to Lottoland, the O'Donnell's love every opportunity that they get. "We think it's the best."
These Members are among many young Members that have been signed up to the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles Membership family since birth. It is a phenomenal commitment and we thank all Members as we near Member Appreciation Round on Saturday.
