The inaugural meeting of the Sea Eagles Member Council has been hailed as a success.
Held at Manly Leagues Club on Wednesday night, 19 Members ranging in age, location, membership tenure and membership category, gathered to discuss the membership program in 2018 and 2019.
Three Members in attendance were from the Southern Highlands, Brisbane, and Perth.
Kellie Pethybridge, General Manager – Consumer & Community Engagement, said the inaugural meeting proved very beneficial to the Club and Members alike.
“This meeting was about laying a platform, providing a background to allow the Member Council to gain insight into the Sea Eagles Club, ’’ Pethybridge said.
“The Member Council proved to be a constructive platform as we came away with positive and actionable outcomes.
“Each of the Members were encouraged to participate and be heard.
“One of our Members, Mary Vescio, summed it up perfectly when she said that it is great to get together and improve the Club as it is all about wearing the Sea Eagles on your heart and sleeve”.
The Council were presented with genuine challenges that the Club faces and introduced to the progressive manner in which the Sea Eagles aim to build its Membership base and culture. Following a restructure in administration, the Club is now in a position to really move forward and progress.
Following the meeting, Members and staff are now working on agenda items to potentially improve:
- User-friendliness of the MWSE website and app
- Continued improvements in the Member Game day experiences
- Review of Merchandise range
- Review of Membership offering in 2019
