Passionate Manly Member Paul Secomb is soaking up every minute of his ‘inner sanctum’ experience with the Sea Eagles this weekend.
As the winner of the Club’s 18th Man promotion held in January, Paul is enjoying a weekend like no other.
A Sea Eagles Member since 2012, Paul usually sits in the Fulton Menzies grandstand at Lottoland. However, that will not be the case tomorrow for the clash with the Parramatta Eels.
Paul’s magical weekend with the Sea Eagles began at the Captain’s Run today where he had the opportunity to meet Coach Trent Barrett and the players at their final training run.
Following training, Paul was presented with his personalised ‘18TH Man’ jersey by his favourite players in Daly Cherry-Evans and Martin Taupau, and also enjoyed a barbecue after training.
As for game day, Paul will toss the coin with the two captains pre-match, stand on the field as the Manly team warms up, before sitting in the players’ dugout during the match.
He will then assist the training staff handing out drinks before joining the team at the post-match function.
On top of this, Paul will also have a photo with the 2018 NRL squad.
“It was a great privilege to meet the players and coaching staff at Lottoland today,’’ Paul said.
“They all spent time talking with me. To see what goes into the final training session before a game was something I will always remember.
“This opportunity would not have been possible if I wasn’t a Sea Eagles Member.
“I am proud to be a Member and show my true commitment to this great club.”
