Three Manly Warringah Sea Eagles players have today been named in the Samoa squad for the World Cup.
Second-rower Frank Winterstein, winger Matthew Wright, and half Pita Godinet have made the 24 man squad.
Winterstein (pictured) has represented Samoa on eight previous occasions and played in the 2013 World Cup.
He has represented Samoa against New Zealand, Fiji, Cook Islands, Tonga, France, and England.
The hard working forward enjoyed a fine season for the Sea Eagles, playing in all 25 matches in just his second year with the club after a few years in rugby union.
His form saw Winterstein sign a new two-year deal that will keep the popular clubman at the Sea Eagles until the end of 2019.
Wright has previously represented Samoa against Tonga and Fiji where he played full-back, wing, and centre.
He played 15 matches for the Sea Eagles this season, kicking 36 goals and scoring six tries.
Godinet, who will not be with the Sea Eagles next season after joining the club in 2016, has represented Samoa 11 times already.
