Welcome to the beginning of a huge ‘Farewell Jamie’ week as we pay tribute to one of Manly Warringah’s favourite sons.

Jamie Lyon - what a player, what a Captain, what a champion!

A two time premiership winner who has represented NSW and Australia, Lyon is set to make his final appearance at his beloved Brookvale Oval next Saturday, August 27, when the Sea Eagles host the Canberra Raiders.

Although Lyon will do his best to overcome a hamstring injury to play one more time at Brookvale Oval, the Club has planned a huge day regardless to celebrate the illustrious career of their proud captain, irrespective of whether he takes the field against the Raiders.

Just some of the things planned include video tributes from past and current players, Jamie Lyon Face Masks, to a special lap of honour following the match, where there is sure to be plenty of emotions as the inspirational skipper farewells his home crowd.

This is a day not to be missed, Sea Eagles fans. Jamie deserves to do his lap of honour in front of a packed Brookvale Oval crowd!

And in the lead up to next Saturday, it will be a big week on seaeagles.com and across our social media channels as we bring you some of the following:

- An in-depth video feature series with Jamie Lyon where he reflects on his wonderful career

- Tributes from past and current Manly team-mates

- Messages from some of the NRL’s biggest names congratulating Jamie;

- official hashtag of #FarewellJamie for fans to pay tribute on social media

- Plus a whole lot more!
