Last week we caught up with Sea Eagles duo Tom Symonds and Justin Horo and the pair couldn’t resist the chance to dish out some dirt on their teammates.
Tom Symonds:
Question: You recently had a big win in Melbourne, on long away trips, who do you usually room with?
Tom: “I usually room with Brenton Lawrence, and we hit it off straight away but he’s out injured at the moment so I share one now with Cheyse Blair which is going great.”
Question: Do you know any teammates that are not so good to share a room with on away trips?
Tom: "I’ve never come across too many bad ones. There are a few rumours out there, Matt Ballin and Killer have been together for years but there are threats to split up because Killer snores and Matt is lazy so they’ve got their beef going on at the moment. I’ve never had a bad roomy, I’ve always enjoyed the boys company."
Question: Leading up to or after a match, who takes charge of the music in the change rooms.
Tom: "Before a game lots of boys have got their headphones in listening to their own things. After games if we get a good win its up to Steve Matai, he will get his little boom box out get the mood up which is great."
Question: Which teammate are you most likely to find at a Justin Bieber concert?
Tom: "Definitely Daly Cherry-Evans he uses his kids as an excuse for all his bad tastes now but he’s just a big softy so definitely him."

Justin Horo:
Question: You recently played away in Melbourne, who do you room with on big away trips?
Justin: “So I’m normally with Kieran Foran, him and I are pretty similar, normally the way it works is that you get someone similar to your temperament. If there’s anything he can work on it’s his style in what he wears, it’s very plain, he’ll often wear sponsored gear, he’s pretty basic in what he wears so if there’s one thing he could work on it’s his fashion."
Question: Who has the worst fashion sense?
Justin: "Tommy Symonds, he normally buys clothes two or three times too small for him. I think he’s a similar size to me a 36 but you will often see him wearing 32’s 34’s its awful. He’s from Bondi so you know how they are over there."
Question: Which teammate are you most likely to find at a Justin Bieber concert?
Justin: "There’s nothing wrong with the ‘Biebs’ I love the ‘Biebs’ I feel like us Justin’s have got to stick together. I suppose Clint Gutherson isn’t great, I was with him in his car one day and he had some Spice Girls on his iPod."
