The Premier of New South Wales and Member for Manly, Mike Baird and his family will be special guests at Brookvale Oval tomorrow night, for the Sea Eagles clash with the top of the table Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs. The Round 13 match of the 2014 NRL Telstra Premiership season will be the first time the Premier has been able to attend a game at Brookvale Oval since assuming the State’s top job back in April. Despite being his first match at Brookvale for season 2014, the proud Sea Eagles member says he’s very much looking forward to cheering the team on tomorrow night. “It’s always a memorable experience coming down to cheer on the Sea Eagles at Brookie [Brookvale Oval],” he said. “Hopefully we get as many supporters there as possible, in what I’m sure will be a very tough, but entertaining encounter against the high-flying Bulldogs.” Sea Eagles General Manager David Perry welcomed the Premier’s attendance and echoed his call for as many supporters to come down and help fill the hill on Friday. “We witnessed a thrilling match at Brookie this time last year and I see this as being another one that’s not to be missed.” Perry said. “There’s no better experience than a full house at Brookvale Oval, so I encourage all our proud members and fans to pack out the stands, fill the hill and cheer the team on tomorrow night.” Gates will open at 5:10pm before Holden Cup kicks of the evening at 5:15pm. The NRL match between the Sea Eagles and Bulldogs will start at 7:40pm. Get your tickets to the clash v Bulldogs here and don't miss out! |
