Judiciary news: Daly Cherry-Evans cleared

Manly Warringah Sea Eagles half-back and captain Daly Cherry-Evans has tonight been cleared to play the Canberra Raiders at 4 Pines Park on Friday night.

The Club rolled the dice in seeking to get a grade two Dangerous Throw charge on Parramatta forward Shaun Lane downgraded to a grade one after initially pleading guilty.

Cherry-Evans, who has never been suspended in his illustrious 313 game career for Manly, has now been fined $750 for the grade one offence.

Team-mate Haumole Olakau'atu will miss the next two games ahead of his return against the Brisbane Broncos in Magic Round after pleading guilty to the grade two Dangerous Throw charge on Lane.
