The Board of the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles are pleased to announce the appointment of Lyall Gorman as Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.
Gorman previously held the position of Group CEO at the Cronulla Sharks, and prior to that was the founding CEO of the Western Sydney Wanderers, and CEO of the Central Coast Mariners.
Sea Eagles Chairman Scott Penn said Lyall brings a wealth of sports business and leadership experience at CEO level to our Club.
“We’re excited to have Lyall lead us through what we believe is an exciting future for the Sea Eagles.
Lyall joins the club at a stable time where our focus is on continuous improvement on and off the field.
“Lyall has had a highly successful business management career and he brings strong leadership and a proven track record of success to the Club. In his most recent roles with the Sharks, Wanderers and Mariners, each Club experienced on-field and off-field success,’’ Penn said.
“I’m sure Lyall will help the Sea Eagles grow to the next level commercially off the field, with his proven formula of connecting and engaging the Clubs he’s worked for with the community and improving Member and fan engagement and experience.
“I also want to thank Neil Bare, Chief Operating Officer, for successfully leading the organisation over the past six months.”
Gorman said he was excited about the wealth of opportunities that lie ahead at the Sea Eagles.
“I’m delighted to be given the responsibility of leading the mighty Sea Eagles,” said Gorman.
“One of my initial priorities will be building stronger communication between our Club and its many stakeholders – including Members, fans, partners and the broader community, and of course Council and State and Federal Government."
